Energy consumption is essential for economic expansion, technological advancements and improving the quality of living standards. The global demand for energy is steadily increasing as is the negative environmental impact of the consumption of natural resources and dirty energy.

Creating an on-demand clean energy supply for commercial and residential buildings is critical to reach the global goals for a zero carbon or neutral carbon footprint. Our technology solves this problem.

Less must be the new more.

Join us in creating the new global standard for commerce and clean energy.

Energy 101

Clean Energy? Green Energy? Brown Energy?? Dirty Energy??? What do all of these terms actually mean?

Clean energy = clean air.

Clean energy are those types which do not release pollutants into the air, and renewable energy comes from sources that are constantly being replenished, such as hydropower, wind power or solar energy.

Green energy = energy created from natural sources.

Green Energy is that which comes from natural sources, such as the sun.

Renewable energy = created from recyclable sources.

Brown Energy = created from polluting sources

Brown energy or brown power are terms that have been coined to describe energy produced from polluting sources as a contrast to green energy from renewable, non-polluting sources.

Dirty Energy = created from destructive and harmful sources

Dirty Energy is made from coal, oil, gas, destructive dams, nuclear power, unsustainable bioenergy and waste-to-energy. These forms of energy are destructive to the planet and are harmful to human health.

SOURCE OF ENERGY

Solar Energy

Solar energy is radiant light and heat from the Sun that is harnessed using a range of technologies such as solar power to generate electricity, solar thermal energy including solar water heating, and solar architecture.

Wind Energy

Wind power or wind energy is the use of wind turbines to generate electricity. Wind power is a popular, sustainable, renewable energy source that has a much smaller impact on the environment than burning fossil fuels.

Biomass and Biofuels

Biomass can be used to produce renewable electricity, thermal energy, or transportation fuels (biofuels). Biomass is defined as living or recently dead organisms and any byproducts of those organisms, plant or animal.

Water and Geothermal

Geothermal energy is heat derived within the sub-surface of the earth. Water and/or steam carry the geothermal energy to the Earth's surface.

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between Clean Energy and Dirty Energy?

A: Clean energy refers to any source of power that does not pollute or harm the environment and focuses on reducing carbon emissions as a method of counteracting “dirty energy.” Dirty energy is generated by burning fossil fuels such as coal, and as a result, releases carbon pollution into the air altering the climate of the planet.

Q: What is the opposite of clean energy?

A: Fossil fuels such as oil, natural gas, and coal are examples of nonrenewable resources. Humans constantly draw on the reserves of these substances while the formation of new supplies takes eons. Renewable resources are the opposite: Their supply replenishes naturally or can be sustained.

Q: Why do we clean energy?

A: Clean energy provides a variety of environmental and economic benefits, including a reduction in air pollution. A diverse clean energy supply also reduces the dependence on imported fuels (and the associated financial and environmental costs this incurs).

Q: What is Britto?

A: The BrittoNetwork is a finance platform for clean commerce.

A: Britto Clean Energy Merchant Members are those who choose to transact on a network powered by and built with clean energy.
Merchants who are members of the Britto Merchant Network is a network of merchants and consumers whose transactions and actions share the commitment to combat climate change by simply changing the preferred currency used for everyday transactions.

Britto Clean Energy Coin is the native token of the Britto Clean Energy Protocol on BrittoNet. The Britto Network is powered by Britto Clean Energy Power Plants.
